Flocon class
Preparation for Flocon test

       Complete a series of snowplough turns bringing your skis back parallel between the turns, on a gentle slope
      Control your speed, brake and begin to sideslip
I have the Flocon certificate

Class 1
Preparation for 1ère étoile

 
    Complete a series of elementary sideslip turns (converging skis with a sideslip at the end of the turn with your skis parallel) on a gentle slope at low speed
      Start to sideslip with an uphill swing, at an angle.

Class 2
Preparation for 2ème étoile

      Complete a series of smooth elementary turns on a moderately steep slope at moderate speed
      Improve your sideslipping with an uphill swing and at an angle
       Ski over hollows and bumps while maintaining your balance
I have the 2ème étoile certificate
 

Class 3
Preparation for 3ème étoile

      Make wide and narrow turns with your skis parallel at a moderate speed on a moderately steep slope
      Be completely comfortable with all kinds of sideslipping
      Maintain perfect balance when schussing

Étoile de Bronze
Preparation for Étoile de Bronze

        Complete smoother broad and high-speed turns while reducing sideslip on a moderate to steep slope at a sustained speed
      Start getting used to skiing in all kinds of snow
       Maintain your balance in a schuss when taking off from rounded bumps

Étoile d'Or
Preparation for Étoile d’Or

      Ski down pistes with a large vertical drop without stopping, on all types of snow at a sustained speed.
      Ski down a prepared course (boardercross)
      Start skiing competitively (short timed giant slalom course)
Adults: from age 13

      Slide, turn and stop using a snowplough turn on a gentle slope at low speed

       Complete a series of elementary turns on a gentle to moderate slope at low or moderate speed

      Complete perfect parallel turns on a variable, steep slope at sustained speed
    Start getting used to skiing in all types of snow and terrain

Class 4
      Ski while making "expert" broad and high-speed turns 
       Competition skiing, freestyle and off-piste
